The Ukulele Club was started in 2020 by Ross and Trina Ballantyne to provide quality teaching classes for Adults to learn to play the Ukulele.
Classes are focused around teaching absolute beginners how to strum and play the Ukulele with confidence. Trina is a highly competent teacher, using empathy, repetition, encouragement, and fun songs from around the world, to take each student on a journey of learning within the group setting. Feedback from students is highly positive, with comments like “Trina’s class is the highlight of my week”, “I always have a good time”, and “After 6 weeks I can strum with confidence and I am happy I joined”
Classes are for Adults, of any age, and are kept to small sizes of under 20 students to ensure everyone gets individual attention.
Ross is a key member of each group, playing the Ukulele Bass with confidence and perfect timing. Ross learnt to play the Ukulele Bass, late in life, and is now a competent and steady influence on each group session.
Trina was formally trained on the Piano, gaining qualifications from the Trinity College of Music, and went on to play the Guitar, and Piano Accordian, as well as being a member of several Singing Groups where she learnt to sing in the correct pitch, and using harmonies. Over the years she settled on the Ukulele for its fun sound and easy method of making music in any Genre.
We look forward to welcoming you to our next Ukulele Beginners Course.
